DOWNHILL / ENDURO

Downhill

Malaga boasts a huge area of natural ridable natural terrain within striking (and sometimes spitting) distance from the Mediterranean sea. To keep you entertained, we drive to a completely different area each day. The big hitters are Mijas, La Zubia, and Motril with dense pine forests concealing some of the best natural trails this side of the Atlantic. We also regularly head up to the El Chorro lakes for a unique slab rock and loam experience and often take the coastal road to Torrox for a bone dry, alpine-steep DH pinball ride that finishes up on a golden sandy beach where you can take a cooling swim in the Mediterranean sea.

Enduro

Those of you with trail bikes have the added advantage that you can reach the higher, lesser known trails up in the Spanish Sierras. If you have a penchant for backcountry trail bashing into the unknown then Malaga could well be your holy grail. We all know that the best trails need to be worked for – Our trail package offers a much wider variety of incredible tracks with a bit more pedal power required – don’t worry though, we still use our vans and bike-specific trailers to get you as high as possible before setting off on a ride. The reward will be breathtaking views, untouched remote singletracks for miles, a true sense of adventure and that smug feeling you get when you’ve hit some of the best real mountain bike descents in the world. Enjoy!

Uplifts

On an average day of trailer uplifts you can expect to get in at least 10 DH runs. We use 9 seater minibuses equipped with bike-specific trailers. Our trailers are quick, comfortable and safe – Everyone loads their own bike simultaneously, and this gets you up to the top of the trails faster, and allows more riding time – Simples! Each bike is kept securely in its slot using straps and emergency bungees so that no damage can occur during uplifts. Our vans are also always stocked with tools, track pumps and first aid equipment for your convenience.

Our drivers are also passionate bikers and experienced mechanics – if a rider picks up a mechanical issue that they can’t deal with then we all team together to fix the bike as soon as possible. Believe us, there are very few things that a fully loaded Roost van can’t cope with!

Guides

Our guides are carefully selected to ensure you have the best possible expertise available trackside. They are adept riders (more often than not elite/world cup level) but also excellent communicators who know how to dissect a track and talk about line choices and riding techniques for any level of rider. Aside from the riding they are top people who can have some banter with you in the van on the way to track locations!
